ND: Tsipras leading country to new memorandum

Following Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras’ earlier statements at a SYRIZA central committee meeting, main opposition New Democracy party underlined that the new leftist government is merely leading the country towards a third bailout plan, better known as a “memorandum”.

World Ski Cup Race in Bulgaria's Bansko Cancelled over Heavy Fog

The second Super G race of the Alpine Skiing World Cup taking place in Bansko, Bulgaria, has been called off due to the thick fog.

This comes after Friday's weather conditions also imposed a reschedule, with the Friday event now set for Monday.

The Super Giant Slalom began at 11:15 EET (09:15 GMT), but came to a halt as fog fell and limited visibility.

Blaga: PNL governance programme, to set the grounds of partnership with President Iohannis

Due to increasingly violent situations in the Mediterranean due to efforts to curb migrant smuggling, amongst others, the Italian Coast Guard has requests that its officers carry side arms.

According to an announcement, “officers face dangerous situations on a daily basis”.
