Turkey's foreign trade deficit narrows in June due to oil plunge

Turkey?s foreign trade deficit fell 21.6 percent in June from the same month in 2014 and 16.43 percent in the first half of the year from the same period in 2014, indicating improvement for three months in a row, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜ?K) showed on July 31. 

Turkey's tourism income decreases 14 pct amid security concerns

Turkey?s tourism income decreased by 13.8 percent in the second quarter of the year, down $7.73 billion compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜ?K). 

Kosovo: Draft resolution on genocide submitted to assembly

The head of the parliamentary group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has submitted a resolution on "genocide during the war in Kosovo."

This has been reported on Friday by the Pristina-based Albanian language newspaper Koha Ditore.

Beijing to Host Winter Olympic Games in 2022

Beijing was chosen as the host of the 2022 Winter Olympics at the 128th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

The Chinese capital beat the only other candidate - Almaty, with Beijing garnering 44 votes, while the largest city in Kazakhstan received 40 votes.
