Turkish warplanes struck 24 targets in a bombardment of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) positions in the southeastern province of Hakkari late on Sept. 29, the military said.

The targets destroyed in border towns of Yüksekova and Da?l?ca were mainly weapon emplacements and shelters, the army said in a statement on Sept. 30.

Greece’s population decreased by 21,592 in 2014, according to the Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT). More specifically, there was a decline in birth rates and a rise in deaths for 2014, according to the service’s data.

Effect of Fed rate hike overrated, Turkish deputy PM says

The effect of an interest rate rise by the U.S. Federal Reserve will roil markets but should not be overrated, Deputy Turkish Prime Minister Cevdet Y?lmaz said Sept. 30.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency during a visit to New York, Y?lmaz said the world economy had been affected by the possibility of a Fed rate hike, the ongoing slowdown in the Chinese economy and weak commodity prices.

Prices of Natural Gas, Heating in Bulgaria to Decrease from October 1

At its meeting on Wednesday, the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) adopted the planned decrease of the prices of natural gas and heating from October 1.

The price of natural gas will drop by 14.26 % on Thursday, meaning that the total decrease since the beginning of the year will exceed 30 %, private bTV station reports.

German central banker says Eurozone stabilizing

President of the German Bundesbank Jens Weidmann said deflationary concerns in the Eurozone had subsided in a press conference. At the same time preliminary data published by Eurostat indicated that the consumer price index show a -0.1% deflation.
