New Year celebrated across Serbia

Belgrade and other towns across the country have celebrated the beginning of the new year with open air concerts, fireworks displays, and firecrackers.

Mostly young people opted to spend the last moments of 2015 and welcome in 2016 in squares and streets, many others were in restaurants and clubs - while a majority stayed at home.

Police in Munich evacuated two major railway stations after a “friendly intelligence agency” warned Germany of an impending ISIS attack, said Bavaria’s interior minister Joachim Herrmann.

As he said, German authorities received information that suicide bombers from Islamic State would target the central station or Pasing station.
