Turkey's 'emotional reality'

Probably you keep hearing about it all these days, the concept of "post-truth." After a spike in use around Brexit and the election of Donald Trump, the word "post-truth" has been named as Oxford Dictionary's word of the year. 
Actually the term was first used by Serbian-American playwright Steve Tesich.

Greeks buy 26 ships in October

Greek shipowners returned to the buying market in October as they acquired a total of 26 vessels, against seven in September and 10 in October 2015, data by Golden Destiny shipbrokers showed.

Drop in average tourism spending was far greater than in other countries

Panathinaikos hires Ouzounidis as its new coach

Following the departure of Italian manager Andrea Stramaccioni earlier on Thursday, Panathinaikos announced the hiring of Marinos Ouzounidis as its new coach.

The Athens club stated the 48-year-old manager has signed a contract for a year-and-a-half, i.e. until the end of next season.

New Democracy leads Syriza by 16 points in new opinion poll

The gap between the political parties of New Democracy and Syriza is widening according to an opinion poll conducted by the University of Macedonia on behalf of Skai TV.

 

In the new survey, the opposition party is leading the governing party by 16 points, with 32% to 16% respectively.

ATHEX: Notable drop for benchmark

The closing auctions added to the losses sustained by Greek stocks earlier in the day on Thursday, as December started with a notable decline for most blue chips.
