Turkey's Economic Confidence Index rises in March
Turkey's Economic Confidence Index improved for the second straight month in March, rising 5 percent to 96.1, data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK) showed on March 30.
The increase in economic confidence index stemmed from the increase in construction, services, consumer and real sector confidence indices, according to TÜİK data.
Registered Crimes Go Down, Road Accidents Increase in Sofia in 2016
There has been a 10% decrease in registered crimes in 2016, compared to the previous year, announced the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs, reported BGNES.
Last year, a total of 22,292 crimes were registered on the territory of Sofia, compared to 24,551 in 2015. Solved crimes in 2016 were 8,180.
Coca-Cola İçecek plans to open its 10th plant in Turkey with 110 mln lira investment
Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI) said in a statement on March 30 that it plans to open its 10th plant in Turkey, in the southern province of Isparta, with a 110 million Turkish Lira ($30.1 million) investment.
The plant is expected to be fully operational in the second quarter of 2017, according to the statement.
Vandals smash Holocaust memorial in northern Greece
A memorial commemorating 1,484 Jews from Kavala who perished in Nazi death camps in World War II, was targeted by vandals on Wednesday night, local media reported.
The vandals appear to have used hammers to smash the marble coating on the memorial, which was erected about a year ago in the northern Greek town.
