Man arrested for arson in Ancient Olympia

Police on Sunday arrested a man suspected of multiple acts of arson in the municipality of Ancient Olympia in the Peloponnese, the fire service said in a press release.

The 44-year-old man is accused of setting three fires in land plots in the areas of Vasilaki, Louvro and Kamena between August 21 and September 1.

FYROM FM optimistic majority will support name deal in referendum

Truck overturns near Thermopyles, traffic disrupted

A truck with Bulgarian license plates overturned on the Athens-Lamia national highway, near the junction for Thermopyles, early on Monday.

It was not known what caused the truck, which was carrying laundry detergent, to flip over at 7.15 a.m. as it headed south.

There were no reports of injuries.
