ISIL attack on Afghan prison, killing 21, rages on
Authorities say an ISIL group attack on a prison in eastern Afghanistan holding hundreds of its members is raging on after killing at least 21 people in fighting overnight, a local official said.
Attaullah Khogyani, a spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar province, said that another 43 people have been wounded. He said the dead include prisoners.

New arms shipments come for Haftar forces: Libyan army
The Libyan army on Aug. 2 said Russian-made cargo planes made new military shipments to the forces loyal to warlord Khalifa Haftar.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Gen. Abdulhadi Dirah, the spokesman for the army's Sirte-Jufra Joint Operations Unit, said that carrying military ammunition, Ilyushin-type planes conducted five flights to Sirte and Jufra provinces on Aug. 1.
4 die, 1 missing as boat sinks off Aegean Sea
Bodies of at least four people have been recovered after a boat carrying nine people sank in the Aegean Sea off Turkey's western İzmir province, according to a security source on Aug. 2.
A total of nine people were on board, said a source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking the media.
