Think of Greeks as a tribe, not of Greece as a civilization state
Greece has long been perceived as a civilization state. While well-meaning, this overambitious characterization based on fallacious reasoning cannot apply to the Hellenic Republic. Given how many millennia modern Athens is removed from the apex of Hellenism, imagining Greece as a civilization state implies that its best days are behind it.
Restrictions and benefits
The development of a short-term rental property market must be regulated in ways similar to those implemented by other European megacities, but not in the name of a nostalgic approach to city life.
Apart from the distortions it creates in the housing market by banishing residents from urban centers, it also ends up degrading the "product" itself.
Rejuvenating a vision

PM to chair cabinet meeting, visit Rhodes on Friday
The Greek cabinet will meet at 11.00 a.m. on Friday at Maximos Mansion and will be chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Ministers will present bills and measures related to their portfolio, while the Climate Crisis minister will brief the cabinet on the forest fires and measures for those affected.
PM Mitsotakis will visit Rhodes on Friday afternoon. [AMNA]
