Sofia Municipal Council Deadlocked Again in Chairperson Election Stalemate
The Sofia Municipal Council remains ensnared in a deadlock following the third unsuccessful attempt to elect its chairperson on Thursday. Boris Bonev, the candidate of "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) and "Spasi Sofia", who previously garnered considerable support but fell short of the required votes, withdrew from the race this time.
Postal voting for European elections and referenda
Interior Minister Niki Kerameos and Deputy Minister Theodoris Livanios gave further details at a press conference on Thursday on the introduction of postal voting to the European elections.
The minister clarified that the postal voting bill does not currently concern the general elections, but only European elections and referenda.

Bank of Greece set to trim growth outlook
The Greek central bank is set to trim its growth outlook for next year significantly in its upcoming December forecasts.
Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras told Politico that his institution now expects the Greek economy to expand 2.4% this year, and by 2.5% in each of the two subsequent years.
