Weather In Bulgaria On April 1: Unseasonably Warm

Bulgaria is experiencing unseasonably warm weather for early April, with temperatures soaring above normal levels across the country. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with scattered clouds and light to moderate southerly winds. In Sofia, temperatures are expected to reach around 26°C, significantly higher than usual for this time of year.

The investigation of special appellate investigator Sotiris Baikamis into the deadly collision between a freight and a passenger train at Tempe in central Greece on February 28, 2023 is continuing with the appointment of a new expert - a specialist in oils and fuels - as well as orders for new sampling and chemical analysis of materials removed from the accident site.

Voting ends in local elections across Türkiye, counting process starts

Polling for Türkiye's local elections concludes, and the counting process begins, with over 61 million voters eligible to vote in the country's 81 provinces.

Voting in the 32 eastern provinces started at 7 a.m. local time and ended at 4 p.m. Polls in the remaining provinces opened at 8 a.m. and closed at 5 p.m.

European Central Bank to issue verdict on banks’ dividends

Greece's four major banks have until the end of the month to submit their capital plans for the next three years to the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) of the European Central Bank, based on which the request for the distribution of 2023 dividends of 10-30% will be assessed.
