Athens mayor against pact with SYRIZA

Athens Mayor Haris Doukas, a candidate for the leadership of socialist PASOK, said individual members of leftist SYRIZA, including former PASOK officials "who haven't mocked or derided the party," would be welcomed into the party. "Otherwise, we will be stuck at about 13%," he said.

But, on the contrary, he strongly opposes an electoral coalition with main opposition SYRIZA.

Closure of a well-known restaurant in Mykonos – No receipts 7.000 euros

Another well-known restaurant in Mykonos, the island of winds, was found by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) to be issuing no receipts.

A total of eleven receipts were missing, amounting to over 7,000 euros.

Soup kitchen founder and relatives charged with misappropriation of donations

Athens prosecutors have decided to file criminal charges against the founder of the soup kitchen "O Allos Anthropos" (The Other Person), Konstantinos Polychronopoulos, and two of his relatives, it was announced on Monday.

Polychronopoulos, his mother and his brother-in-law are accused of embezzling approximately 600,000 euros in donations over three years, from 2020 to 2023.
