Pink cocaine found in Athens and Agia Paraskevi – See photos

In two houses in Athens and Agia Paraskevi, Narcotics Division officers have found about 1 kilogram of pink cocaine, called TUSI, which is highly expensive.

In addition to the 30-year-old man who was arrested, police have identified a 33-year-old Greek and a 23-year-old foreigner for involvement in the drug trafficking.

Fire in Attica: The Municipality of Agia Paraskevi Opens Closed Gym for Fire Victims

As announced by the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi, following a decision by Mayor Yiannis Mylonakis, the closed gymnasium in Kontopouki (Dorieon 20 and Kanari) will be open from today and for as long as needed to assist in accommodating fire victims who have been displaced from their homes due to the severe wildfire in Attica and require temporary shelter.

State of emergency declared in several Rethymno municipalities due to fire damage

The Ministry of Civil Protection on Friday declared a state of emergency in the municipalities of Agia Paraskevi, Agios Ioannis, Ano Meros and Apodoulou in the municipality of Amari in Rethymno on Crete.

According to the decision signed by the general secretary of civil protection, Vassilis Papageorgiou, the state of emergency will be in effect until September 9.

Firefighters continue to battle wildfire on Crete, village evacuated

More than 200 firefighters on the southern Greek island of Crete on Thursday continued to fight a large wildfire that forced authorities to evacuate one village and prepare others for evacuation.
