Victims of Solingen attack remembered on 31st anniversary
A commemoration ceremony has been held for victims of the 1993 Solingen arson attack that claimed the lives of five Turks in Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia State.
On May 29, 1993, in the city of Solingen, the house of the Genç family was set on fire by far-right extremists, and five people, three of them children, were killed in the attack.

Ancient house ruins found in Hierapolis

Man taking care of blind pigeon in Turkey's Amasya
A retired worker man has been scrupulously looking after a pigeon that was born blind in the Black Sea province of Amasya.
Halil Kuru, who lives in Amasya's Taşova district, carries the blind pigeon named "Pamuk" (Cotton) everywhere he goes. He expressed his affection for pigeons and said that he loved keeping pigeons from a young age.

Court grants stay of execution for gas station construction on green area in Black Sea province
A Samsun court has granted a stay of execution for a gas station project which was slated to be built in a green area in the Black Sea province of Amasya following localsâ demonstrations.
The court issued the decision regarding a revision of the development plan in 2006, the organization of the parcel in 2008 and the construction permit given in 2014.
