Turkey's coastal city of Antalya will host COP22, an international convention on the protection of the Mediterranean marine environment and coastline in 2021, the country's minister of environment said on Dec. 18.

Turkey will chair Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) for another two years, the assembly said on Dec. 16.

The announcement came during the 12th APA Plenary meeting that ended in Turkey's Mediterranean resort city of Antalya.

Turkey will serve as the term president in 2020-2021.

Steluta Duta (48 kg) and Maria Nechita (57 kg) are the winners of the gold medals of the Balkan Boxing Championships 2019 of Antalya, Turkey, while Eszter Torok (54 kg), Georgiana Mogos (+81 kg) and Gabriel Schiopu (52 kg) grabbed the silver medals.

Turkey plans to welcome 75 million tourists in 2023, turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

"We will continue to work to increase our country's share in the world tourism. Our goal is to welcome 75 million tourists in 2023, " the Turkish head of state wrote in a tweet on the occasion of International Tourism Day, which is celebrated on September 27th.

Reservations by Germans on Crete were down 6 percent in July compared to the same month last year, while those in Rhodes dropped 5 percent.
