Serbia's Medjedovic defeated in Astana semis
ASTANA - Serbian tennis player Hamad Medjedovic has failed to reach the final of the Astana ATP tournament after losing 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 to American Sebastian Korda in the semi-finals on Monday.
World number 28 Korda won after two hours and 53 minutes.
Medjedovic, who is currently placed 120th in the ATP rankings, will move up around 15 positions in next week's rankings.

Djokovic to play in Paris, Turin and at Davis Cup Finals
BELGRADE - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, will play at the Paris Masters, the ATP Finals in Turin and the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga until the end of the season, according to his official website.
Djokovic will skip the Astana ATP tournament and the Shanghai Masters.

Turkish, Russian, Syrian, Iranian ministers to meet early May: Çavuşoğlu
A meeting between the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Russia, Iran and Syria is expected to be held in Moscow next month, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on April 10.
"We think it will happen in a period at the beginning of May, according to the preliminary information we received from the Russians. It will be hosted by Russia in Moscow," Çavuşoğlu said in a televised interview.
Slovenia open Euro 2024 qualifying with a win
Slovenia defeated Kazakhstan 2:1 in Astana on 23 March to successfully open their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign after turning around a 0:1 deficit at half-time.
Slovenia, currently 62nd team in the FIFA rankings, have never started any of their qualifying rounds with an away win before. This is also the first time for them to take on Kazakhstan, which rank 115th.
