A man has been stabbed to death in a shop in Elberfeld, Dusseldorf, according to reports, after a knife attack in Finland. At least one other person is believed to have been hurt.
The incident has taken place on Kipdorf in Wuppertal-Elberfeld, in the city in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The suspects in the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils were planning one or more bigger attacks than those that were carried out, police say, reported BBC. 

Catalonia's police chief said blasts in a town south of Barcelona on Wednesday deprived the plotters of bomb material, forcing them to carry out simpler attacks using vehicles to ram crowds.

Spanish police announced on Friday that they killed five persons in the city of Cambrils and in this way prevented a new terrorist attack.

It would have been the second, less than eight hours after the one in Barcelona on Thursday, when 13 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.

Several pro-Isis social media channels put out messages in Spanish such as "Kill the Spanish pigs" and users changed their profile pictures to Driss Oukabir, a suspect in custody, reported The Independent. 

Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL) claimed responsibility for Thursday's vehicle attack in central Barcelona through it's Amaq news agency. At least 13 people were killed and dozens injured after a van rammed into pedestrians at speed.

Spanish police say they have killed five suspected terrorists in the town of Cambrils in a second vehicle attack, after an earlier one in Barcelona, reported BBC. 

The men, wearing explosive belts, were linked to the first attack, police say.

 Bulgarian  consul in Madrid, Borislav Evlogiev said that their are looking for two Bulgarians in connection with the terrorist attack in Barcelona yesterday, reported bTV. 

According to him, they have received information that they can not be found by phone by their families. One signal was filed immediately after the bombing of La Rambla and the other two hours after the incident.
