Tourists Died in a Minibus Crash in Mexico

At least 11 people were killed and seven were injured on Sunday when a passenger car and a minibus carrying tourists collided on a highway in southern Chiapas, Mexico, local authorities said.

"11 people were killed and 7 others were injured," the prosecutor's office said, adding that an investigation into the cause of the accident had begun.

6.9 magnitude earthquake hits Guatemala

Two people have reportedly been killed after a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck in western Guatemala near the border with Mexico. The tremor caused moderate damage to homes, triggered some landslides across highways.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the tremor was centered 5 miles southwest of Tajumulco, Guatemala about 69 miles below the surface.
