Tsitsipas suffers early exit at US Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas' US Open woes continued as he suffered a 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3 7-5 loss to Australia's Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round on Tuesday.

After losing a close first set in a tiebreak, Tsitsipas rallied to win the second and level the match, but appeared to have an abdominal issue late on before slumping to defeat in three hours and 54 minutes.

Djokovic to also play in Cincinnati doubles

CINCINNATI - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic will also be playing in the men's doubles event at this season's Cincinnati Masters tournament alongside compatriot Nikola Cacic, US media have reported.

Djokovic, who has previously announced he would be competing in the singles event at Cincinnati this season, won the singles title at the tournament in 2018 and 2020.
