Bulgaria Appoints Werner Jostmeier Honorary Consul in Germany
Bulgaria's government has appointed Werner Jostmeier as the country's Honorary Consul in Germany with consular district the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Werner Jostmeier is member of the provincial parliament (Landtag) of North Rhine-Westphalia. He will be headquartered in Münster.

German jets, troops arrive in Turkey's ?ncirlik for anti-ISIL fight
The first batch of German troops, two reconnaissance jets and an aerial refueling jet landed in Turkey's southern ?ncirlik Airbase on Dec. 10 as part of a deployment in the battle against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria.
Shooting at Cafe in Cologne Leaves One Dead, Five Injured
An overnight shooting at a cafe in the German city of Cologne left one person dead and five other injured.
The gunfight took place at a cafe closed for renovation in the Nippes district of Cologne.
The identity of the people involved in the incident and the reasons behind the shooting were not immediately known.

Supermoon around the world in case you missed it (pics + vids)
People rushed to take photos of the rare eclipse of the supermoon on September 27. NASA says that total eclipses of super full moons are rare and have only occured 5 times in the 1900s (1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982). The next Supermoon eclipse is due in another 18 years.

Sofia Airport Reports 11 % Increase in Number of Passengers in August
The airport of the Bulgarian capital serviced 418 846 passengers in August, which represented an increase of 11 % compared to the same month in 2014.
August is traditionally the busiest month for Sofia Airport, daily Dnevnik informs.
