Virus measures announced for several industries
The Health Ministry has announced a series of measures to be taken in 11 sectors in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus as Turkey has already rolled out its normalization plan.
The new measures are mostly directed at retail stores, such as white goods shops, supermarkets, gas stations, and real estate agencies.

462 people detained for producing scam medical and healthcare items
Turkish police and gendarmerie's anti-smuggling and organized crime teams have carried out 288 operations in 65 provinces of Turkey in one month against attempts to produce fake, unauthorized and unhealthy disinfectants, colognes, masks and healthcare products.
Erdoğan hails 'healthcare army' fighting virus
Turkey's president on April 8 praised the nation's "healthcare army" of nearly half a million medical staff and 360,000 support personnel fighting the coronavirus outbreak.
"No virus, no outbreak is stronger than Turkey," said Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a letter addressed to the Turkish people who are older than 65 and restricted from leaving their homes due to pandemic.

Turkey removed tariffs on ethyl alcohol imports amid coronavirus pandemic, announcing the decision in the Official Gazette on March 25.
The move aims to support production of disinfectant and cologne, traditional ethanol-based scented disinfectant in Turkey.
The tariff on bulk ethyl alcohol imports was 10 percent.

Turkey halts ethanol-mixed fuel for more disinfectants
Turkey's temporary suspension of the requirement to include ethanol in gasoline will provide an additional 20,000 cubic meter ethanol capacity for the production of disinfectants and colognes in the country.
Cologne is a traditional ethanol-based scented disinfectant in Turkey.
