The first residents of the Elliniko development in southern Athens are expected to move in by end-2026, Lamda Development CEO Odisseas Athanasiou told press representatives, after their tour of the construction sites.

"The projects are advancing as planned, despite the difficult construction market," he noted.

A massive fire that broke out on Sunday in the Rozena area of Corinthia continues to devastate the region for a second consecutive day. The bodies of two missing men, aged 35 and 40, were found burned in the Xylokastro fire on Monday morning, according to the deputy governor of Corinthia, Anastasios Giolis, in a statement to ERT.

The men reportedly encountered firefighters along the way, who urged them to turn back due to the ongoing fire. Unfortunately, they continued into the danger zone.
