Hadrianaupolis

An 1800-year-old iron mask belonging to a Roman soldier has surfaced during the ongoing archaeological works in the ancient city of Hadrianaupolis in the Eskipazar district of the northern province of Karabük.

The northern province of Karabük, which is home to important cultural and nature tourism centers of Turkey, has started to make a name for itself in agro-tourism with its sunflower fields after its "miracle plant" saffron and purple lavender.

Gifts dating back 1,800 years that have been given to the dead throughout history have been unearthed in a grave in the ancient city of Hadrianaupolis in the Ezkipazar district of the northern province of Karabük.
