Turkey accuses Germany of turning ongoing row into crisis before polls
Germany has been trying to turn ongoing problems in bilateral ties with Turkey into a crisis because of looming elections, a senior Turkish official has said, accusing German officials of depicting Turkey as an unsafe country for its investors despite numerous high-level refuting statements from Ankara.
US orders diplomatic, military families out of south Turkey
The State Department and Pentagon ordered the families of U.S. diplomats and military personnel on March 29 to leave posts in southern Turkey due to security fears.
The two agencies said dependents of American staffers at the U.S. consulate in Adana, the Incirlik air base and two other locations must leave.
German Military Rule out Cooperation with Syria Govt in Anti-IS Strikes
The military force, which Germany plans to send to Syria to fight the Islamic State group, won't cooperate with Syrian government troops, a German Defence Ministry spokesman has said.
"There will be no cooperation with [Syrian President Bashar] al-Assad and there will be no cooperation with troops loyal to al-Assad," Jens Flosdorff said, according to DPA.
