Japan’s royals meet Turkish-Japanese community in Istanbul
Japan's Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko held talks with Turkish citizens who have historical and business-related ties with Japan as part of the royal couple's Istanbul visit on Dec. 6.
The couple met with academicians, representatives of Turkish-Japanese friendship associations as well as Turkish citizens connected with Japan at Çırağan Palace in Istanbul.

Japan's Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko continued their visit to Türkiye on Dec. 5, attending various cultural events in Istanbul, with a notable stop at the iconic Hagia Sophia among their destinations.
The royal couple landed in the capital Ankara late on Dec. 3, beginning their first official visit to Türkiye.
Japanese royal couple visits Atatürk's mausoleum
Japan's Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko paid a visit to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of modern Türkiye founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in the capital Ankara on Dec. 4.
The royal couple laid a wreath at the mausoleum and observed a moment of silence before continuing their first official visit to Türkiye, with a stop at Ankara University.

Law enforcement nabs 88 ISIL suspects in nationwide raids
Turkish security forces have detained 88 suspects linked to the ISIL in coordinated operations across the country, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said in a written statement on Sept. 20.
The raids spanned 23 of the country's 81 provinces, including the capital Ankara, Istanbul and Antalya.
29 ISIL members caught in joint op by intel, police
In a joint operation conducted by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the police, 29 suspects, who were preparing to attack synagogues and churches, as well as the Iraqi Embassy in Türkiye, have been captured.
