Bulgarian Court Acquits Alleged Drug Lord of Two Charges
Bulgaria's specialised criminal court acquitted on Monday alleged drug lord Zlatomir Ivanov, known as Zlatko Baretata, of two charges which had been brought against him.
Ivanov, who had been accused of heading an organised crime group involved in the distribution of drugs and unlawfully appropriating a Mercedes E 500, was acquitted of both charges.
Worker Dies in Blast in Bulgaria's Arsenal
A 53-year-old worker died on Friday evening in an incident at the Arsenal arms manufacturing plant in the Bulgarian town of Kazanlak, local media report.
A blast occurred around 22:30 GMT, local time. The man was left with serious injuries and died as doctors were fighting for his life.

The abundant rainfall caused a flooding in the Bulgarian town of Kazanlak overnight after the Stara reka river burst its banks.
The construction of a dyke began immediately and the electricity, water and gas supply in the neighbourhood of Derelika have been turned off.

Bulgaria's Culture Ministry Inspects Collapse in Thracian Tomb
Bulgaria's Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov ordered an urgent inspection in the tomb of the Thracian King Seuthes III after a collapse had been reported by the municipality of Kazanlak.
According to local Press TV, the Golyamata Kosmatka Mound, which contains the tomb, collapsed with nearly a meter and 5 cubic metres of soil had been removed from its corridor.
Bulgaria’s Arms Manufacturer Arsenal Kazanlak Creates 1000 Jobs
The Kazanlak-based military plant Arsenal will create 1000 jobs and make a substantial investment in new equipment, according to CEO Nikolay Ibushev.
Ibushev, as cited by econ.bg, explained that the upgrade of the machines had been planned mainly for the two biggest units of Arsenal.
