BELGRADE - The dramatic situation in Ukraine underlines the deep crisis affecting entire Europe, and MPs in European countries must approach this issue in a responsible manner to prevent the catastrophe of the 1914 Great War from repeating, participants of a Russian-Serbian scientific conference have said.
NATO Mulls Permanent Presence in Eastern Europe
Gen Philip Breedlove, NATO's top military commander, said on Monday the alliance could deploy permanent troops in Eastern Europe due to the situation in Ukraine.
He was quoted by ITAR-TASS as saying that the option will be put forward for discussion among NATO members.

Ukraine PM Blames 'Inefficient' Security Service for Odessa Violence
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has accused the local security service of failing to prevent the violence in Odessa that left more than 40 people dead.
Over 40 people died on Friday in the Black Sea port, most of them in a fire at the Trade Unions House, where pro-Russian activists had barricaded themselves following battles with pro-Kiev forces.
