About 100,000 Syrians return home since Assad’s ouster: UN

Approximately 100,000 refugees have returned to Syria from neighboring countries since opposition fighters overthrew Syria's strongman Bashar al-Assad, the head of the U.N. migration agency estimated on Dec. 18.

Huge fire erupts in military zone in Turkey's Kilis
Ten soldiers were injured early on July 13 in a fire that broke out in a military area in the southern province of Kilis, the Kilis Governor's Office has said in a statement.
It said there were no causalities in the fire and the injured soldiers, who suffered from mild smoke inhalation, have already been discharged from Kilis State Hospital.
Turkey tops UNHCR's refugee hosting list with 2.9 million refugees
Turkey tops the list of refugee hosting countries in the world, hosting 2.9 million of the world's 65 million refugees, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) stated on June 20.
Most of the refugees hosted by Turkey are from Syria and Iraq, with the UNHCR putting the number of Iraqi refugees in Turkey at around 30,000.
