Djedovic Handanovic: Lifespan of Djerdap 1 HPP extended by 30-40 years
KLADOVO - Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said on Friday a generator of the Djerdap 1 hydroelectric power plant had been refurbished successfully to extend the plant's lifespan by 30-40 years.
Polling stations open for repeat parliamentary elections
BELGRADE - Fifteen polling stations across Serbia opened for the repeat parliamentary elections on Wednesday morning.
The polling stations opened on time, at 7 am, and will close at 8 pm, the central electoral commission RIK announced.

BELGRADE - Serbia's central electoral commission RIK on Wednesday ordered a repeat vote at another eight polling stations - in Vranje, Nis, Jagodina, Backa Topola, Sremski Karlovci, Uzice, Kladovo and Belgrade - taking the total to 15 polling stations across the country.

Another EUR 9mn to repair flood-damaged homes
BELGRADE -- Marko Blagojevic says the government has so far allocated RSD 4.2 billion for the reconstruction of houses damaged in the May floods.
It also "secured another EUR 9 million for the coming year," explained the director of the Serbian Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief.
