Kustendorf to feature 21 works of local and foreign authors within its 13th edition

The first guests arrived to Mokra Gora yesterday - celebrated Italian director Paolo Virzi, French director of photography Michel Amathieu, Chinese-Canadian film director Johnny Ma, a French-Russian-Kazakhstani chess grandmaster Vladislav Tkachiev and director Karim Aïnouz.

Belgrade: Australian, Lebanese cocaine smugglers arrested

Thy are suspected of being members of an organized crime group that is involved in cocaine smuggling.

According to the the MUP, the arrests were carried out in cooperation with the Organized Crime Prosecution, and came after an investigation that lasted nine months, during which the Serbian police worked with Australian authorities.

BELGRADE - The Kustendorf International Film and Music Festival has been named one of the 25 "Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by the US-based Moviemaker portal for the second time.

"At Kustendorf, time stops. You are absorbed with watching incredible international films, partying relentlessly, and listening to film masters tell their stories," Moviemaker said.

Eighth Kustendorf opens with unusual performance

MECAVNIK, - The eighth international festival Kustendorf opened with an unusual performance and fireworks in Drvengrad (Timber Town) in the tourist center Mecavnik in the nature park Mokra Gora.

The founder and director of the festival, renowned Serbian film director Emir Kusturica, welcomed distinguished guests of the festival with bread, salt and slivovitz (plum brandy).

BELGRADE -- Nikita Mikhalkov will be among the guests of the Kusterdorf film and music festival, set to take place Jan. 21-26 on Mt. Mokra Gora in western Serbia.

The Russian filmmaker will thus join his older brother, Andrei Konchalovsky, and a host of other international directors and producers.
