Bosnian towns like Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Lukavac and Kakanj are suffering from serious problems with air pollution, experts from the Federal Hydro-Meteorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina [FHMZBiH] told BIRN.
"Sarajevo is definitely one of the most polluted cities in Europe when it comes to air pollution," said Enis Omercic, an air-quality expert for the FHMZBiH.

Freak Floods Wreak More Havoc in Balkans
Heavy rain is again causing turmoil in the Western Balkan region, causing floods and damage in Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia.
In Bosnia, homes have been buried underground due to landslides while others are flooded. In the northwestern town of Banja Luka a state of emergency has been proclaimed and around a hundred buildings are underwater.

Floods Hit Western Balkans Once Again
More floods have hit the Western Balkans in what is shaping up to be worst year in memory in terms of appalling weather.
One man was reported to have drowned in Banja Koviljaca in Serbia in the basement of his home on Tuesday, the Serbian daily newspaper Blic reported.
