A Palestinian stabbed and killed an Israeli at a petrol station in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Nov. 23 and in Jerusalem two Palestinian girls attacked and slightly wounded an elderly man with scissors before a policeman shot them both, killing one.

Two Palestinians attacked Israelis with knives and a car in the West Bank Nov. 22 and were killed when civilians and security forces intervened, the latest in a nearly two-month wave of violence.

Israeli forces shot dead at least two Palestinians when clashes erupted during an operation Nov. 16 to destroy the West Bank home of a Palestinian accused of killing an Israeli hiker, the army said.

Palestinian hospital sources reported the death of two Palestinians, while the Israeli military said three were shot in an exchange of fire at Qalandiya.    

A Palestinian rammed a group of Israelis with a car at a junction in the West Bank on Nov. 8, wounding three of them, and was then killed by security forces, police said.

Palestinians set fire to a Jewish shrine in the West Bank on Oct. 16 as the Islamist group Hamas called for a day of rage against Israel, with tensions still running high after two weeks of violence.

The Arab League?s assistant secretary-general for Palestinian affairs, Mohamed Sobeih, has branded Israel as an ?abnormal? state, saying the pan-Arab body was seeking to issue a resolution from the U.N. Security Council to end the decades-long Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.

Israeli troops shot and killed a Palestinian demonstrator in clashes in the West Bank on Nov. 11 as Israel tightened security following a pair of attacks that took two Israeli lives the day before.

Clashes erupted near the city of Hebron where about 150 Palestinian demonstrators were throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at Israeli soldiers, the army said.

A Palestinian teenager stabbed and critically wounded a young Israeli soldier on Nov. 10 as unrest which has already rocked Jerusalem and the north spread to coastal Tel Aviv.
     

Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank allegedly carried out an arson attack on a mosque near the city of Nablus early on Oct. 14, Palestinian security sources told AFP.
