PADANG, Indonesia - A boy band belted out songs about loving the Prophet Muhammad. A young woman wearing a full-face veil was moved to tears by the faith of new converts. Later, the crowd applauded as a 15-year-old girl converted to Islam before their eyes. Many posted selfies on social media, delighting in their shared faith.

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 shook the Indonesian island of Sumatra, the Geophysical Institute of the United States reported, quoted by Reuters and TASS.
Powerful earthquake recorded in Indonesia
A powerful and shallow 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the west coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, according to US Geological Survey.
The epicentre was 502 miles southwest of Padang and it was 10 km deep. Up to now, there were no reports of damage or casualties.
Indonesian authorities issued a tsunami warning for the regions of West Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh.
