The State Agency "State Reserve and Wartime Stocks" has announced it will supply three municipalities with bottled drinking water due to ongoing drought and reduced water flow in local sources.

Due to severe water shortages, the municipality of Pavlikeni in Bulgaria is on the verge of declaring a partial state of emergency. According to a report from BNR, half of the villages in the municipality are currently under water restrictions, with more expected to follow suit as summer progresses. The primary cause of this crisis is the depletion of local water sources.

Five lead mirror frames dating to the turn of the third century A.D. have been found in a square building at a Roman villa outside the town of Pavlikeni in northern Bulgaria.

Bulgarian police have arrested five people on charges of making fake identity documents, including passports for illegal migrants crossing the country, BGNES reported on Saturday.

Born in 1936 in the central-north Bulgarian city of Pavlikeni, Gyuzelev was one of the most prominent representatives of opera in Bulgaria.
