Moroccan ambassador to Turkey dies in Rabat

Moroccan Ambassador to Ankara Menouar Alem died on July 31 in the Moroccan capital Rabat, the Moroccan News Agency has reported, citing his relatives. 

The cause of his death has not yet been made public.

Born in 1955, Alem had joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation in 1979, where he held several positions.

Krunic suffers early exit in Rabat

RABAT - Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic has suffered an early exit from the Rabat WTA tournament after losing 6-2, 7-6 (9-7) to Kazakhstan's Yaroslava Shvedova in the first round on Tuesday.

Krunic will continue her Rabat campaign with her doubles partner, Daria Gavrilova of Australia.

Two-Day International Summit on Migration to Begin in Valletta

An international summit on migration will take place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in the Maltese capital of Valletta on Wednesday and Thursday.

Back in April, the European Council called for the holding of an international summit to discuss migration issues with African and other key countries concerned.
