Italy Seeks Meeting With Slovenia, Croatia, on ‘Balkan Route’ Migration
As the number of migrants arriving in Rijeka, Croatia, near the Slovenian and Italian borders, rises to some 200 a day, Italy has called for a three-way Italian-Slovenian-Croatian meeting in Rome to discuss ways to tighten border controls.

Copenhagen – Slovenia’s capital has placed 279th among 344 European cities in the European city air quality viewer with its air quality categorised as poor. Maribor ranks 207th having moderately clean air.
Slovenian, Croatian and Italian FMs discuss Ukraine, Bay of Piran
Zagreb – Slovenian Foreign Minister Anže Logar, Croatia’s Gordan Grlić Radman and Italy’s Luigi Di Maio met in Croatia on Monday as part of the trilateral cooperation effort for the north Adriatic Sea. They also discussed Ukraine and Logar and Grlić Radman talked about an “agreement about an agreement” on joint fishing in the border Bay of Piran.

Fifth biannual festival of Slovenians in Italy kicks off
Trieste – Slofest, a festival of Slovenian culture in Italy, kicked off in Trieste on Friday to bring three days of programme presenting all activities of the Slovenian community in Italy: culture, art, sports and creativity. Schools are particularly invited.

Croatia Confirms Coronavirus Case as Balkan States Boost Precautions
Croatian officials announced on Tuesday that a man who recently returned from Milan in Italy has become the first confirmed coronavirus case in the country.
"Today at 11.50 we got test results for a Croat who was staying in Milan. He shows milder signs of the illness," Health Minister Vili Beros told a press conference.
Croatia Suggests Police Unintentionally Shot Migrant
A migrant shot and seriously wounded by Croatian police may have been struck by accident, Croatian Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said late on Sunday, responding to the latest incident that has raised questions about the tactics used by the European Union member against migrants and refugees trying to cross its territory.
The Karst Edge Run
The Karst edge is a landmark between the Mediterranean and continental Slovenia. On its southern side there lays Istria, on its northern side are Karst, Brkini and Čičarija. It is an extension of the Alps, which goes from the Italian Devin above Trieste, through Slovenia and finishes before the Croatian port town of Rijeka. The Edge is up to 500 metres high and has several shelfs.

Croatian City Approves Funds to Renovate Tito’s Historic Ship
Rijeka city council on Monday voted to approve the loan necessary to renovate the Galeb, a ship once used by President Josip Broz Tito for diplomatic voyages which fell into disrepair after Yugoslavia collapsed.
