Bulgarian Died in the United States, he Slipped while Climbing a Mountain Slope

A 29-year-old Bulgarian from San Diego died in the Sequoia National Park in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain in the US state of California.

Anton Dokov's body was found on Sunday, but the rescuers managed to get to him on Tuesday because of the difficult terrain - ice and snow on the steep peak, the Bulgarian newspaper in the United States -  BG VOICE reported.

Central Americans will seek asylum at southern US border

U.S. immigration lawyers are telling Central Americans in a caravan of asylum-seekers that traveled through Mexico to the border with San Diego that they face possible separation from their children and detention for many months. They say they want to prepare them for the worst possible outcome.

Officer of Serb origin in command of main US base in Kosovo

The US officer took over the command of the base from Colonel Michael Spraggins.

Trump Pushes for New 'Space Force'

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he wants the US military to create a new "space force," adding to the Pentagon's current ground, navy and air forces.

Trump told troops at the Miramar Marine Corps Air Station near San Diego that the new group would be able to encapsulate the "tremendous amount" of work the military and government are doing in space-related defense.

US-Mexico Border Wall Prototype Construction Starts

The US government has announced the start of construction on eight prototype barriers for the border with Mexico, a campaign promise of President Donald Trump.

The Customs and Border Protection says four of the prototypes will be made from concrete, while the others are from "alternate or other materials".
