Serbia President Hails ‘Incredible’ Gas Deal With Russia

Serbia will continue to pay $270 per 1,000 cubic metres of natural gas for the next six months, President Aleksandar Vucic said after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The two presidents met in Sochi, Russia, where the renewal of a deal about natural gas deliveries was one of their topics. Vucic said: "Putin has shown friendship towards Serbia."

Turkish-Russian cooperation essential for peace in Syria: Erdoğan

The peace in Syria depends on the cooperation between Ankara and Moscow, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Sept. 29, emphasizing the benefits of ties which he said are getting stronger.

Erdoğan met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sept. 29 at the latter's official residence in the resort town of Sochi.

Turkey marks painful anniversary of Circassians' exile

The 19th-century exile of Circassians from their Black Sea homeland remains a painful tragedy, said Turkey's president on May 21. 

"On the 157th anniversary of the deportation of our Circassian brothers from their homeland, I feel a great pain in my heart, and I wish Allah's mercy to those who lost their lives," Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Twitter.

Erdoğan marks exile of Circassians

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on May 21 commemorated the deportation of Circassians 156 years ago from their homeland. 

"In the 156th year of their exile from their homeland, I share the pain of our Circassian brothers and once again wish God's mercy on those who lost their lives," Erdoğan said on Twitter.
