Chania: A huge yacht in the port of Souda with a member of the United Arab Emirates royal family (video-photos)

 

The luxury Yas yacht “Yas”, flagged by the Cayman Islands, 141 meters long and 15 meters wide, coming from Tangier, Morocco, appeared in the port of Souda late in the afternoon today, Wednesday 4 September.

According to information from the flashnews.gr website, the Yas yacht can accommodate up to 60 guests in 30 suites, while it can carry up to 56 crew members.

Human footprints 100,000 years old found in Morocco

Archaeologists in Morocco have unearthed more than 80 human footprints dating back around 100,000 years and believed to be the oldest in North Africa.

The footprints, probably left by five homo sapiens, including children, were discovered on the coast of Larache, a city 90 kilometers south of Tangier, by archaeologists from Morocco, Spain, France, and Germany.

Morrocan women want to get rid of burqini, put on bikini on their own beach

Female Moroccan beachgoers are calling for their own segregated beach. They want a beach reserved exclusively for them in the city of Tangier. Campaigners said they will demand the creation of this women-only section so as to conform with Islamic legislations that prohibit women to show parts of their body in public. The request has sparked debate.
