World powers, Iran to hold nuclear talks in New York on September 18
Six world powers and Iran will hold new talks in New York on September 18, EU and U.S. officials said Sept. 4, as efforts intensify toward clinching a nuclear deal by a November deadline.

Iran foreign minister to visit Turkey, Russia
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Turkey on Aug. 28 before embarking on a mini-tour of Europe that will take him to Russia, Italy, Luxembourg and Belgium, Iranian media reported.
In Turkey, Zarif will attend the ceremony inaugurating Recep Tayyip ErdoÄan as president.

Iran supplied weapons to Iraqi Kurdish forces: Barzani
Iran supplied weapons and ammunition to Iraqi Kurdish forces, Kurdistan Regional Governmentâs (KRG) President Masoud Barzani said Aug. 25 at a joint press conference with Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Arbil.
"We asked for weapons and Iran was the first country to provide us with weapons," Barzani said.
