Residents record flooding, destruction in Volos, Mount Pelion amid severe storm

Local residents and tourists in the city of Volos and Mount Pelion were posting photos and videos of the destruction caused by the severe thunderstorm sweeping central Greece since Monday night. 

One video filmed in the village of Agios Ioannis, in the eastern coast of Mount Pelio, showed a car being swept into the sea. 

Archaeologists discover 2,500 lost city in Thessaly (photos)

Archaeologists have unearthed a lost ancient city in the region of Thessaly, Greece dating back 2,500 years! The amazing discovery was made by researchers from the University of Gothenburg and the University of Bournmouth. The excavations teams started exploring the ruins at a village called Vlochos, about 300km north of Athens.

Farmers continue blocking the main roads

Greek farmers are still blocking major roads throughout the country, while today they are expected to decide on their next move.

According to information, they probably escalate their protest and continue blocking the roads, while at the same time they will prepare their arguments and proposals for the social security system and tax system.
