The Bulgarian Black Sea city of Varna will have to spend more than BGN 30 M to restore infrastructure damaged by last week's flash floods, municipal officials say.
Another Child's Body Found in Bulgaria's Flooded Asparuhovo District
The body of another victim of the floods in Bulgaria's port city of Varna was found on Thursday.
The victim is a child and was found in the ruins of a house, BGNES reports. It is still unclear whether the child is the six-year-old Marin who has been missing since the extreme floods ravaged the Asparuhovo district last week.

11 potentially dangerous buildings in the flood-hit Asparuhovo district of Varna are to be demolished, according to the Mayor of the Black Sea city, Ivan Portnih.
The Asparuhovo district of Varna reported a death toll of 12 after heavy rain and severe flooding on Thursday. The death toll may rise as one child is still missing.

The official mourning to Monday took place as Bulgaria continued the clean-up operation after last week’s deadly floods in the north-eastern cities of Varna, Veliko Turnovo and Dobrich and more of the 14 victims were buried.

Mayor of Flood-Hit Varna Orders Forced Evacuation of Some Buildings
Varna Mayor Ivan Portnih has said that the local authorities are issuing orders for forced evacuation as some people refuse to leave their homes.
In a Sunday interview for the Bulgarian National Television, Portnih informed that the local authorities had prepared for emergency evacuations due to the refusal of people living in dangerous buildings to leave them.
Two Children Still Missing After Destructive Floods In Port City Varna
Two children are still missing after the floods ravaged Varna's Asparuhovo district, another person has been reported missing, too.
So far, 11 people have died as a result of the torrential rains in Bulgaria's port city of Varna. For the past day, firefighters responded to more than 120 calls in the Varna region, 54 of them concerned the Asparuhovo district.
