Winter storm blasts US as Turkish Airlines cancels Istanbul-New York flights

Turkish Airlines suspended its Istanbul-New York flights on Jan. 27 because of an expected major snowstorm in the northeast of the U.S.
      
In an official statement on its website, Turkey's national flag-carrier said a change was also expected in all its flights to Boston.  

York Global increases stake in Terna Energy by 4.70 percent

York Global Finance Offshore BDH (Luxembourg) S.a.r.I. announced the acquisition of another 5,133,174 shares in blue chip Terna Energy on Thursday in a non-bourse transaction amounting to a 4.70 percent stake in the Athens-listed company.

The share purchase has seen York Global’s stake in the Greek energy firm climb to 7.70 percent,corresponding to 8,412,606 shares.

Church of England to vote on allowing women bishops

The Church of England was debating whether to allow female bishops for the first time in its history before a vote Monday, which could end half a century of bitter divisions over the role of women.
     
A yes vote by its governing body, the General Synod, could see the first women appointed to the Anglican Church's top jobs by the end of this year.
      

Djokovic to Marry in Montenegro Luxury Resort

After claiming his second Wimbledon title on Sunday, tennis star Djokovic is set to marry his fiancée Jelena Ristic on Thursday at a glittering wedding ceremony near Budva, Montenegro, including around 140 guests.

Djokovic and Ristic arrived in Montenegro on Tuesday by private plane for what media in Serbia and Montenegro are already calling "the wedding  of the century".

Four Bulgarians Arrested in Canada For ATM Fraud

The Quebec provincial police arrested on Thursday four Canadian citizens of Bulgarian origin for alleged ATM fraud. 

Their names are Vassilina Dimitrova, 48, Borislav Petrov, 53, Iren Vasilev Atanasov, 42 and the alleged ringleader Martin Antonov Kuzov, 52.

The arrests took place near Montreal and Toronto. Four other suspects are still on the loose.
