Sofia Among the Top Risers in Cost of Living for Foreigners
Sofia has climbed six places to occupy the 162nd position in the 2024 cost of living ranking by the management consulting company Mercer, which lists the most expensive cities for foreigners. This index includes 226 cities worldwide, measuring the relative price of over 200 items in each location, such as transportation, food, clothing, household goods, and entertainment.
Serbian javelinist Vilagos wins European silver in Rome
ROME - Serbia's Adriana Vilagos won the silver medal in the women's javelin throw event at the European Athletics Championships in Rome on Tuesday evening.
With a 64.42 m throw, Vilagos also broke the Serbian national record of 64.21 m, set by Tatjana Jelaca in Zurich in 2014.

The Orient Express is leaving Istanbul on June 7, continuing its journey back to Paris with its next round of passengers.

IMF Director Georgieva: AI's Tsunami Effect on Employment
According to Reuters, Kristalina Georgieva, Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has warned that artificial intelligence (AI) will impact a significant portion of the global job market in the near future. Specifically, she stated that within the next two years, AI will affect 60% of jobs in developed economies and 40% of all positions worldwide.

ZURICH - The Serbia men's national football team has slid by one position to the 33rd place in the latest FIFA world rankings following a recent defeat to Russia and a victory over Cyprus.
Argentina, France, Belgium, England, Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Croatia make up the top ten.

Aegean adds fourth daily flight to London Heathrow
Aegean Airlines has secured another slot at London's Heathrow airport and is adding to its schedule a fourth daily flight from Athens to the UK's busiest international hub, it said on Tuesday.
The new flight will operate every day throughout the year except on Saturdays, leaving Athens at 4 p.m. local time and London/Heathrow at 7 p.m. local time.

Serbia climb to 32nd place in FIFA world rankings
ZURICH - The Serbia men's national football team has moved up two positions to the 32nd place in the FIFA world rankings.
Serbia currently have 1,517.43 points.
World champions Argentina remain at the top of the rankings with 1,855.2 points and are followed by France (1,845.44) and England (1,800.05).
