ADMIE signs contract for Greek island electricity supply
Greek electricity grid operator ADMIE, fully owned by the countrys biggest power producer PPC, has signed a 240-million-euro project with foreign and local firms to connect Greek islands with the mainland grid.

The European Commission has long wanted the continents power grids to work in unison for reasons of efficiency and supply security, so far to little avail, but a regional power network could soon be a reality, courtesy of State Grid Corporation of China.

The tender for the sale of Greeces Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) appears to have changed course since it seems the State Grid Corporation of China is set to buy a sizable stake in a vehicle controlling Italian operator Terna.

Greek power grid operator sell-off draws international interest
Greek power grid operator ADMIE attracted five expressions of interest as the government seeks to sell a controlling stake, state-controlled power utility PPC said on Friday.
