Vucic opens CAPA 2024 aviation summit in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic opened the CAPA 2024 international aviation summit in Belgrade on Thursday, noting that Serbia's national airline Air Serbia had become a strong driver of the development of not only air transport and tourism but the entire national economy and Serbia's international image.

Belgrade to host 2024 CAPA aviation summit on November 21-22

BELGRADE - The City of Belgrade and Air Serbia will host the 2024 CAPA Airline Leader Summit World & Awards for Excellence on November 21-22.

Organised by the Center for Aviation (CAPA), the summit is expected to bring together more than 250 aviation industry leaders, Air Serbia announced in a statement.

Air Serbia has carried four million passengers since beginning of 2024

BELGRADE - On Friday, Air Serbia carried its four millionth passenger since the beginning of 2024, the national airline said in a statement.

"This achievement was reached almost a month earlier than the previous record in 2023, when the four millionth passenger was recorded on December 13," it said.

Vucevic meets with Chinese Communist Party secretary of Shanghai

SHANGHAI - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic met with Chinese Communist Party Secretary of Shanghai Chen Jining on Monday.

Vucevic said he was very honoured Serbia was again participating in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, launched in 2018 at the initiative of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Air Serbia to introduce direct flights between Belgrade, Shanghai on January 11

BELGRADE - On January 11, Air Serbia will launch direct flights between Belgrade and Shanghai (Shanghai Pudong Airport - PVG), the national airline announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, Air Serbia said it would operate flights on the route twice a week during the upcoming winter season.

Air Serbia carries three million passengers since beginning of 2024

BELGRADE - On Saturday, August 31, Air Serbia reached the three million passenger milestone in 2024, two weeks earlier than in the previous, record-breaking year, the flagship carrier has announced.

"During the first eight months of 2024, the Serbian national airline has operated more than 31 thousand scheduled and charter flights," it said in a statement.
