US and Japan: China is the Biggest Strategic Challenge
China is the "biggest" strategic challenge for the US and Japan, both sides said.
The assessment was made during a joint press conference after the 2+2 security talks held in the American capital, Washington, between the American and Japanese ministers of foreign affairs and defense, Anadolu Agency reported.

Istanbul prison fire leaves 20 inmates, 1 guard hospitalized
A fire broke out at a prison in Istanbul on Feb. 4, leaving 20 inmates and one prison warden hospitalized for smoke inhalation, Turkey's justice minister said.
There was no information on the cause of the blaze in Ümraniye prison, on the Asian side of the city.
Erdoğan offers to host Ukraine-Russia peace talks
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan offered on Feb. 3 to mediate talks between Russia and Ukraine as NATO warned that Moscow's military buildup continues, with more troops and military equipment deployed to neighboring Belarus than at any time in the last 30 years.

Seal of Hittite prince found in mound
Excavations carried out at Aççana mound in the Reyhanlı district of the southern province of Hatay unearthed some 3,250-year-old seal impressions and 3,400-year-old tablets. The artifacts belong to the Hittite prince, according to officials.

3,250-year-old seal belonging to Hittite prince revealed
A 3,250-year-old seal belonging to a Hittite prince and an ancient cuneiform tablet dating back 3,400 years were discovered in Turkey's southern Hatay province.
The excavations in Accana Hoyuk of the Reyhanli district in Hatay on behalf of the Culture and Tourism Ministry with the support of the Turkish Historical Society, have been underway for six months.
