Türkiye's electric car producer Togg replaces board chairman
Fuat Tosyalı has been elected as the new head of Türkiye's electric vehicle producer, Togg.
Tosyalı, who is also head of the Turkish conglomerate, Tosyalı Holding, replaces Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who was at the helm of the company since 2018, according to a statement from Togg.
Hisarcıklıoğlu heads the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).
TOGG among best 20 brands showed at CES
Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) has been picked as one of the best 20 brands showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier this month.
"Prestigious sectoral magazine Exhibitor has chosen TOGG one of the best 20 brands of CES among 2,300 participants," TOGG said on its Twitter account.

Initial body assembly of Turkey’s homegrown car completed
Turkey's Automobile Joint Venture Group (TOGG) has announced that it has successfully completed the initial body assembly of the country's first indigenous car on July 18.
"Our first body is assembled with all parts produced in our country," TOGG said on Twitter.
Turkish car receives int'l design award
In a first, a Turkish car has been crowned one of the most prestigious design awards in the world, Turkey's Automobile Initiative Group (TOGG) said in a statement on April 18.
"TOGG became the first Turkish brand to receive such an award and achieved a significant success in mobility with its C-SUV model at the iF Design Awards 2021," it said.

Turkey's new lithium plant to save $20 mln imports

Work to start in May on Turkey's first domestic car plant
The foundation stone for Turkey's first domestic car plant will be laid in May with construction expected to take a year, its CEO said on Jan. 28.
Gürcan Karakaş of Turkey's Automobile Joint Venture Group (TOGG) said at a news conference in the country's industrial province of Kocaeli that the factory will start mass production in 2022 with an annual capacity of 175,000 units.
Turkey to own patent rights to upcoming auto
Turkey will own the intellectual and industrial property rights of its first indigenous car, the Turkish industry and technology minister said on Dec. 26.
The car prototype will be unveiled on Dec. 27 in the industrial province of Kocaeli, Mustafa Varank noted.

Turkey to unveil first indigenous car prototype next week
Turkey will unveil the prototype of its first indigenous car on Dec. 27, the nation's president said on Dec. 20.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks came in Malaysia where he attended Kuala Lumpur summit of Muslim world leaders this week.
The car publicity will be held in Gebze, a district of northwestern Kocaeli province, Erdoğan told reporters.
