Three militants disguised in military uniform killed at least eight people in a local government office in Amiriyat al-Falluja in western Iraq on June 9, in an attack claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). 

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) launched a major attack Nov. 21 on the Iraqi city of Ramadi, capital of the troubled western province of Anbar, security officials said.
      
ISIL fighters pounded the city centre with mortar rounds, while clashes broke out all around Ramadi, one of the last urban areas partly under government control in Anbar.
      

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) has in recent days executed more than 200 members of an Iraqi tribe that fought against it, officials and a tribal leader said on Nov. 2.
