EXIST holds onto top spot in Fortune 500 Türkiye list
Turkish energy firm Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) held onto the top spot on Fortune magazine's top 500 Turkish companies list in terms of net sales.
EXIST's sales last year totaled 839 billion Turkish Liras ($36.1 billion), rising 4.9 percent from 2022, according to a statement issued by the magazine.
Turkey’s Arçelik secures 150 mln euros EBRD loan for green manufacturing
Turkish home appliance manufacturer Arçelik said on Nov. 9 it has secured a €150 million ($173.9 million) loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for green manufacturing.
The loan, which will support a three-year environmentally sustainable investment program, will come in two parts.
Carmakers dominate Turkey's top exporters list
Accounting for half of the top 10 companies, automotive firms have dominated Turkey's list of largest exporters, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced on Sept. 18.
Ford was named Turkey's largest exporter in 2020, followed by Toyota Engine Manufacturing Turkey and Oyak Renault.

Aselsan signs $31.3 mln mechanical ventilator order deal
The Turkish defense giant Aselsan signed an agreement worth $31.3 million with the International Health Services Inc. for the production of mechanical ventilators.
"Within the scope of the agreement, mid-level intensive care mechanical ventilator order is given to Aselsan," the defense firm announced on June 10.
Devices will be delivered this year, it noted.
Turkey exports more than 1,000 mechanical ventilators
Turkey has exported more than 1,000 mechanical ventilators crucial in treating COVID-19 so far, the country's industry and technology minister said on May 27.
Addressing a meeting of a local trade chamber via a video link, Mustafa Varank said Turkey is also carrying out apace innovative projects for diagnostic kits and systems that will make a name for the country worldwide.
Border town school produces ventilator
Under research and development efforts by the Turkish National Education Ministry, a high school near Turkey's southern border succeeded in producing a medical ventilator critical in treating COVID-19, an official said on April 16.

First indigenous ventilator to be delivered mid-month
A Turkish firm, supported by some other defense and technology firms, aims to deliver the first batch of domestically produced ventilators mid-April, said the country's industry and technology minister on April 3.
Turkey’s most technology-savy brands selected
Turkey's most technology-savvy brands in the main 23 sectors have been selected through a survey conducted in 12 provinces including the commercial hub İstanbul, the capital Ankara, the Aegean province of İzmir, the Black Sea province of Samsun and the southeastern industrial city of Gaziantep.

Turkey's Arçelik files patent lawsuit against LG
Arçelik, a leading white goods producer in Turkey, on Feb. 13 filed a case for patent infringement against South Korean appliances manufacturer LG Electronics and its subsidiaries in France and Germany.
